At a meeting of the Association of Francophone Air Carriers (ATAF), Air France and Air Côte d’Ivoire announced the signing of a reciprocal codeshare agreement on the Paris-Charles de Gaulle–Abidjan Félix Houphouët-Boigny route.

From October 25, 2026, Air France will place its code on flights operated by Air Côte d’Ivoire between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Abidjan. Air Côte d’Ivoire will market flights operated by Air France on the same route under its own code.

The partnership will give customers of both airlines a wider choice of departure times between France and Côte d’Ivoire by combining the two carriers’ flight frequencies. Together, Air France and Air Côte d’Ivoire will offer 20 weekly flights between Paris and Abidjan, comprising 12 weekly flights operated by Air France and eight by Air Côte d’Ivoire.

Air France has been a shareholder and strategic partner of Air Côte d’Ivoire since the Ivorian airline was founded in 2012. This new codeshare agreement marks a further step in the cooperation between the two airlines and reflects their shared commitment to strengthening connectivity between France and Côte d’Ivoire over the long term.

“This codeshare agreement marks a new milestone in our cooperation. By combining our offering on the Paris–Abidjan route, we are giving our French, Ivorian and international customers greater choice and flexibility, while helping to strengthen the economic and cultural ties between France and Côte d’Ivoire,” said Anne Rigail, Chief Executive Officer of Air France.

“Introducing codesharing with Air France on the Abidjan–Paris route is the first step in a partnership that will be extended to other destinations across the Air France network before the end of the first half of 2027. Implementing all phases of this agreement will enable us to expand the range of services between Abidjan and Paris, and beyond. Most importantly, from the launch of this agreement, our flights will be marketed through Air France’s global network to and from Côte d’Ivoire,” said Laurent Loukou, Chief Executive Officer of Air Côte d’Ivoire.

Reciprocal recognition of loyalty programs
As part of the agreement, Air France and Air Côte d’Ivoire have also aligned their respective loyalty programs, Flying Blue and sMiles. The launch is planned for the end of 2026. sMiles members will be able to earn miles on Air France-operated flights between Abidjan and Paris and, in due course, redeem them across the entire Air France network. Flying Blue members will be able to earn and redeem miles on Air Côte d’Ivoire-operated flights between Paris and Abidjan.

This new partnership reflects the shared ambition of Air France and Air Côte d’Ivoire to offer a smoother travel experience between Paris and Abidjan.
