Taiwan based Starlux Airlines will launch direct flights from Taipei to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, starting in February 2026.
According to Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, travel from the city to Taiwan has ‘increased fivefold’ since the pandemic.
Phoenix joins Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Ontario, California offering direct US-Taiwan flights.
The latter launches next month.
The new Phoenix route will run three times a week on Airbus A350-900 jets, accommodating 306 passengers.
Starlux is a relatively new airline which launched in 2018.
Sky Harbor Airport officials expects the new route to have an economic impact of over $100 million.
For US travellers, Starlux connects to over 20 Asian cities from Taiwan Taoyuan, such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore.
