Baggage screeners employed by contractor ICTS had planned to strike this week.
Unite the union says the action has been called off and workers have accepted the 7% increase in hourly pay, which is backdated from April.
The industrial action was set for 29 August to 2 September.
Unite claims the workers have been among the lowest paid at the airport, earning just over minimum wage.
Gatwick Airport said it is ‘pleased’ the last-minute deal was agreed.
